Hope you had a Merry Christmas! I had a good one till night time when I got sick or all the wear and tear on the body caught up to me and left my body in pain for the next day which caused a call-in for work. Anyways, I'm feeling better and to make up for not posting on Christmas, an eight panel comic finishing up the Christmas tree story. Hope you have a happy New Year!
Hey everybody! I finished and posted this strip early because I'm heading to the Sac Con and I have a closing shift at work. The Christmas tree arc is still going and will last for a few more strips. Have a great week!
And that is why I put up a single panel comic today. Got home from closing and penciled, inked, scanned, and lettered it. The comic I planned on putting up I may do something different with later.
New strip uploaded and I was about to postpone for a few hours and decided not to. I wear my sweater in the morning because its pretty cold but I never take it off no matter how warm it gets. Most of the time, its because I'm not wearing the work code shirt underneath.
Went to APE yesterday and today and handed out some printed "Cartworks" strips to the fine artists who were selling their comics and art. Had a good time and now it'll be back to school work and other work for the rest of the week.
And another week begins so another strip is put up on this blog. Wrapping up last week's story arc quickly and time to figure out other stories I can draw out till I hit the golden 100th strip. Also, this strip is part of a current internet meme so you can figure out who the webcomic artists are in these panels.
Another new comic strip is up the day after the 24 Hour Comics Challenge! I participated in the 24 Hour Challenge (for more info go here) and "wrote", penciled, inked, and lettered my comic in 14 hours. Maybe, I'll post the complete comic up here but not sure when. Have a great week!
I finally wrapped up this on-going story arc which was quite fun to do. Even with the "bail-out" end joke and no backgrounds in any of the panels (cause I'm lazy), it was good to work on a longer story-line. Talk to you all later!
New working week starts and so does a new strip of "Cartworks". Still going with this long story arc and now got around to what the guy was supposed to be doing and the dangers of an icy floor.
A new strip is up as the new week starts! Sometimes I have to figure out excuses to keep people out of the bathrooms while I wait for everyone else to exit so I can clean.
Hi again interent users and another strip of "Cartworks" is up. This was based on a little accident that happened after someone ran heavy machinery into an aisle causing a mess I didn't want to clean up.
Back from Comic-Con and had fun as well as handing out a little booklet of printed versions of some of the comic strips to other artists and editors. Reason why this comic looks very different is the fact that I used a brush pen to draw the comic and borders. Have a great week!
Still in San Diego and I have no access to a scanner and didn't bring my camera usb plug so I'll have to post the newest strip late Monday/early Tuesday when I get back home. Sorry about that readers.
Another strip is up and Comic Con is this week! I'll be bringing another little book with some of the strips printed to give to other artists and people among other things for portfolio reviews. See you later.
Been hot this past week and it finally took its toll on me during a shift on Saturday. During the afternoon, I was outside for a few minutes and felt something drip from my nose. I rubbed my nose and saw blood on my fingers so I went inside and waited for it to stop. Anyways, have a great week and Comic-Con next week!
4th of July weekend ended and I'm still around to bring the internet another strip. Weekend was pretty busy but it was a lot easier getting through than last year. Enjoy the week!
Hey again and welcome to (or back to) the "Cartworks" online comic strip. Sometimes when I'm not feeling good or it gets too busy at the store, I need some extra help and thats where the cashiers come in.
Quick little post to put my own drawing into the "Then and Now" meme and went all out with it because I've added some coloring. Now I've finally contributed to my first internet meme.
Hi and welcome back (or for the first time). Another new strip up for everyone to gawk at and thanks to the podcast Webcomic Beacon for posting up the 1 year milestone for this comic on their site over the week!
And here is Strip #52 which means a whole year of a weekly comic strip has been completed. Thanks to anyone who has read any strip or still owns one of the con books I made from last year up to now.
Hey again and welcome back to the online comic strip "Cartworks". This strip came off the top of my head earlier since this situation happens a few times a week and I never thought about it until now. After work, I'll get in the car and pull the seat back so I can sleep for either a few minutes or an hour or more. Anyways, enjoy this weeks comic!
Getting closer to Strip #50 so I'm not sure if I should make a big one or not. Anyways, Hi and welcome to Cartworks again (unless this is your first time visiting) and odd stories do happen.
Hey everyone! Another week ends and a new Cartworks comic appears. This comic is based on something I usually do at work which is taking other guests carts when they don't have anything in it and are nowhere near it. Luckily for some, they realize I took it and they tell me thats their cart.
Hey again and here comes another comic for the week. Hopefully the joke can be seen in this comic cause I mis-lettered on the page and did make a big inking mistake. See you later!
Hey everybody! Went to SF's Wondercon on Friday and Saturday and due to not feeling like it didn't go on Sunday. Had a great time and bought some new comics and took a look at what other artists are doing.
Apologies for posting up the latest (and quickly done) comic late. Had a family emergency to tend to and I was not able to work on the strip I planned on doing this week so I made this one panel comic up.
Hey again all and welcome to another strip of "Cartworks"! Wondercon in San Francisco is coming up and I plan on going all three days and check out all the artists, events, and models.
I draw and sketch a lot aside from
working at my current job. I'am currently working on my webcomic "Cartworks" among other comic projects like "Sunflower Skribblez".
