Penciled this comic a few days ago, inked Tuesday night, and lettered this morning. Happy Thanksgiving and there should be a new strip done...hopefully.
Finished drawing this strip late last night, but didn't scan in and letter it till today. Didn't realize how quick it would be to finish the rest in the computer. Speaking of comics, I went to the SF show "APE" yesterday and had a good time. I found an empty table and was able to get an exhibitors badge and had a set-up of my comics and sketchbooks for sale. Sold a few comics but still a fun time and next year I should be prepared for the show.
A new strip, but its a page-ful and a new segment may begin. I had a great time at the "From the Land Beyond" convention last week and there are some shots of me at Jose Angeles' blog.
Apologies for missing another week. Another strip is up and when I typed in "moving on to something else" in my last post, I meant story arc wise for "Cartworks" and not shutting down "Cartworks" yet.
P.S. - Please Reblog this post (Tumblr users only)
A new strip of "Cartworks" is up and was inked with a new dip pen nib which worked nicely for me. Continuing with the changes for the Cart-Attendant's role, there should be a couple strips before I move on to something else. Anyways, please reblog (for Tumblr users) so other people on the web can find out about this comic strip.
After two weeks, a new "Cartworks" strip is finally posted! Had an frustrating moment with inking this strip because two newly purchased pen nibs I own decided not to ink correctly. I broke them both and inked with my Pitt pens instead to get the strip finished and online. See you next week!
Hope everyone had a good Father's Day! This strip took longer for me because of the ink or dip pens I'm using is starting to either overflow ink with a press or not ink at all!
Another strip is up and I've finished this "Cashiering" story arc. I had a good time at Sac-Con today handling a table and trying to sell some art. I made a small amount from selling my mini-comic and penciling and inking a commission. I picked up a good amount of comics for $19 also.
Another strip up! I'll be at the Sacramento Con on Sunday (June 7th) with a table space at the Small Press Zone. I'll be taking commissions and talking to the various guests while doodling away in a sketch book. I'm penciling and inking a new 8 page comic to sell for cheap with a free sketch. I'll see you later!
A new "Cartworks" strip is finally up. I've had personal matters to take care of for the past few weeks which led to late postings and the inevitable postponement (which I never posted about) of the comic. Now, everything should be taken care of and I've brought out a new strip. Enjoy!
Its Free Comic Book Day and I drew a small comic in honor and appreciation of today. I plan on going to a couple comic shops to find good free comics before I head to work.
Put up the strip late again and still continuing this story arc. Also, my friend Derrick mentioned me hitting #100 in his latest post after a hiatus from his movie reviews so thank you. Same for Raquel who baked a great birthday cake for a party I attended.
New strip is up and I plan on continuing this story for a few strips. Also, I plan on getting something done for the next Plea for Peace Art Show this week.
Well #99 is here and #100 is a week away. I might have something a little bigger than the usual 3-8 panel strip for #100 and it depends on how long I can spend on it. See you next week!
Guess some people don't appreciate the store displays. Had a little busy week and I continue to play with watercolors (figuring out tones and splashing water on the paper) as I draw. Have a good week.
Came back from Wondercon and had a good time. Picked up some new and old comics and got some advice from a few pros. The art show/concert on Saturday went pretty well with some good music going on as well as my first watercolored art on display. Have a good week!
I usually get these kinds of questions and comments while I work on a rainy day. I don't reply like the last panel though. Wondercon is this weekend as well as another art show at the Plea for Peace Center on Saturday night with the theme is "Robots vs. Zombies". I have a piece almost finished and should finish a couple more (hopefully) for the show which I'll probably attend late due to going to Wondercon. Have a good week!
The art show/concert was pretty fun to be at and seeing my work hanging on the cage (with binder clips!) was cool. New one up right after Valentines Day and 5 more strips before Cartworks #100 will be drawn.
Almost did not put any text in the panel but decided to. I'm going to be part of an art exhibition on Saturday (Valentines Day) so I'll put up more information later on in the week.
Finally, and update around the right time! Rushed a bit on this strip and not overall happy, it'll have to do. Hope everyone had a good time watching the big game.
About time I put the comic up! Well the Christmas season has come and gone and it has gotten quiet and slow at work which is fine by me. Have a great week!
I draw and sketch a lot aside from
working at my current job. I'am currently working on my webcomic "Cartworks" among other comic projects like "Sunflower Skribblez".
